Benefits of music and Stroke

Thanks to an award from The Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation and PRS Foundation for Music workshops have begun on an exciting new project benefiting people affected by stroke in the Inverness area.

Lost and Found‘ is an exciting commission by young composer Sonia Allori and is inspired by Sonia’s own personal recovery from stroke.  During a series of weekly workshops in Inverness with a group of local people affected by stroke, the project will explore how music making can help recover memories and unlock speech and language skills.

The project will culminate in a public performance on Saturday 23 September 2017 6pm at Eden Court Theatre, Inverness.
