Wowing audiences at Glasgow City Chambers

A performance by Pupils from Braidburn School Edinburgh wowed the audience at this year’s General Teaching Council Scotland National Lecture and showcase at Glasgow City Chambers.  Delegates included teachers, education advisers, Glasgow City Council’s Lord Provost Sadie Docherty and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Chief Executive David Grevemberg who gave the lecture on the theme of diversity and inclusion.

Braidburn School performed music they had composed themselves as part of Drake Music Scotland’s Inclusive Classroom project using a range of music technologies including Skoog, Soundbeam and Switches.

“Absolutely wonderful!  The children enjoyed participating… and above all the music was truly beautiful… an absolute highlight of the evening”

“Braidburn School prove conclusively why all young people must have an entitlement to music education” David Cameron, Education Consultant

“Thoroughly enjoyed having Drake Music Scotland perform – you guys were a true inspiration and really made the event what it was. The kids were fantastic!”
