We launch a pilot of revolutionary notation system Figurenotes, and create the software and community to match! Our new recording studio is officially opened by the Proclaimers. We commission Technophonia and composer Oliver Searle is nominated for British Composer Award and Royal Philharmonia Society Award. We cross the Same Rive Twice on the way to the Red Planet.
We launch Scotland’s first orchestra for talented young disabled musicians: the Digital Orchestra, which performs at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
Digital Orchestra travels to Singapore to play in front of 10,000 people! We sell out the Queen’s Hall for our 20th Anniversary concert and premiere music written by disabled composers. We establish the Universal Orchestra in collaboration with Finnish organisation Resonaari and Norwegian organisation Skug, and debut in Tromsø.
In 2019 SCVO awards us Scottish Charity of the Year.
Lockdown is here, and our face-to-face delivery is put on hold. Through the use of Zoom, iPads, and other platforms, we continue collaborating and produce events like Distant Duets and Après MIDI.
In 2022, Drake Music Scotland and Hebrides Ensemble present Echoes, a concert of new works by disabled composers.
