Joe Stollery off to Sweden!

Black and White photo of Joe Stollery sitting at a desk with large sheets of music score in front of him. Two large black speakers to either side of Joe.

We’re delighted that composer Joe Stollery is going to Sweden in April 2026 to learn more about Elefantöra, a brilliant ensemble of musicians formed in 2017 by our good friends Share Music & Performing Arts

Joe was awarded presitigious NEMO funding (Northern European Mobility Opportunity) to visit Elefantöra, learn about the music technology they use and develop some new creative ideas.

We are delighted to continue our support for Joe following his commission “The Salmon Crossing” for piano left-hand in 2024, part of our Making Waves concert series, written for Nicholas McCarthy.

This is part of our ongoing collaborations initiated as part of Nordic Music Days 2024. We have lots of plans for the future including new works as part of Nordic Music Days in Helsinki in 2027. Find out more about our involvement with the New Music Exchange here

We hope you have a great time in Sweden Joe!
