The Proclaimers took time out of their busy touring schedule to be guests of honour at Drake Music Scotland’s Christmas Concert in Edinburgh on 8 December. Craig and Charlie Reid are our Patrons and previously helped launched our recording studio in Craigmillar.
The concert which took place in Edinburgh College’s CRE:8 venue showcased the talents of individual musicians and groups with a range of physical and learning disabilities playing all types of music from heavy rock to traditional Scots.

Drake Music Scotland Chief Executive Thursa Sanderson said “We are delighted our Patrons The Proclaimers are visiting us. It’s a great opportunity for our musicians with disabilities to meet their heroes as well as an exciting chance to perform their own music for Craig and Charlie and show them their song-writing talent too!
We are also very grateful to Edinburgh College for providing their fantastic CRE:8 performance space for our venue.”
Jon Buglass, Head of Creative Industries at Edinburgh College said: “We have a strong relationship with Drake Music Scotland and work closely with them on our Music Technology programme to provide education and training to students, so we’re delighted to be supporting them and hosting this festive event.”
