Freelance Sound Explorers Associate Musician Traineeships
We are looking to take on 10 new Freelance Associate Musicians for our brand new Sound Explorers project.
Drake Music Scotland have funding from Creative Scotland’s Youth Arts Targeted Fund to deliver a new project with school age pupils called Sound Explorers. Drake Music Scotland are looking for competent creative musicians with a desire to undertake training in leading music workshops for disabled people of all ages. We are looking for musicians based in:
- Highland
- Glasgow
- South Lanarkshire
- Dundee
- Renfrewshire
We are looking for musicians who have already had some experience in a variety of music education settings and can point to relevant professional or voluntary experience in music education.
You will be required to deliver both online and face to face workshops, and jointly, as part of the Sound Explorers team, create a bank of resources as part of the project output.
Each of the new Sound Explorers musicians will take part in a training programme with access to a mentor throughout the project. Additional training will be provided in the technologies, Figurenotes notation and methods that Drake Music Scotland use prior to any projects being delivered.
