We’re delighted to share news of the launch of new Additional Support Needs Resources by the BBC which feature members of our Digital Orchestra.
Three musicians Andrew, Rhona and Joseph travelled down to the BBC‘s Manchester studios in October and the spent the day rehearsing and recording with musicians of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. As a result, the BBC have created fantastic “How to” videos to help children with additional support needs and their teachers explore their creativity and make music.
Experimenting with Sound explores the different ways our Digital Orchestra make music using inclusive technologies. Andrew introduces us to how a tablet can be used as a musical instrument using the Thumbjam app and Figurenotes notation. Whilst Rhona talks about how she uses Switches to operate Notion software on a laptop.
