Days full of adventure with Drake Music Scotland
On Tuesday 24th May I got the opportunity to be a helping hand for MusicSPACE Summer Gig 2016, I helped load and offload the van full of equipment for the event taking place at Edinburgh College. I got to take photographs and videos of the soloists and groups performing on stage, the evening was very successful and smiles were spreading over everyone’s faces.
On the Wednesday it was more of a quiet day in the office, working away on the computer editing Figurenotes training videos that were filmed and needed
to be looked over so they were suitable for Drake’s website, I also got to transcribe standard notation and guitar chords for music books.
Thursday 26th May a few of Drake’s members including me, travelled to Oaklands School for the Edinburgh Schools afternoon Performances to set and wire up equipment ready for the 5 special schools performing; St. Crispin’s, Prospect Bank, Redhall, Pilrig Park and the school that held the event Oaklands, this was such an experience for everyone involved and I am sure they all had a great time!
My last day was Friday 27th May and it was back to the office for finishing touches, making a list of useful songs to compose for teens and also making a blog for the days I was with Drake and how my experience was with the company.
