Through funding from Creative Scotland’s Youth Music Initiative, and partnership with Aberdeenshire Council, Drake Music Scotland’s 2015 performance will showcase the talents of pupils from across the region in a large scale performance at the beautiful National Trust for Scotland property, Haddo House.

Six of Aberdeenshire’s Special Schools and Units will come together and perform their original compositions, ‘Postcards from Bennachie’ depicting a full day, sunrise to sunrise of Bennachie, which is located in the heart of Aberdeenshire. Each of the schools has taken inspiration not only from Bennachie, but also from the BBC Ten Pieces, “In the Hall of the Mountain King” by Grieg and “A Night on the Bare Mountain” by Mussorgsky.
