We are deeply saddened by the loss of our much loved Associate Musician Teresa Brasier who died in December 2017.
An accomplished musician and highly qualified music teacher, Teresa had been working with us for a number of years, helping to deliver our schools education projects in Inverclyde, particularly with Garvel School for the Deaf. Teresa was also a trained counsellor and psychotherapist specialising in working with deaf and deafened adults and had level 3 NVQ British Sign Language.
Teresa was a popular and much respected teacher. Among the feedback we received from teachers during the projects included this from the Principal Teacher at Newington School in Annan:
“The children had a great time with Teresa and learned new skills and gained confidence. Teresa brought out the best and they thrived during her time with us”
As a talented brass player, Teresa also directed Leadhills Silver Band and arranged music for this community band.
Teresa will be sorely missed by all at Drake Music Scotland and our heartfelt condolences go out to her family and friends.
