Drake Music Scotland has created a support network which will give disabled artists access to professional and peer-to-peer help and advice, mentoring and signposting to commissioning and performance opportunities.
Coordinated by Ben Lunn, an acclaimed composer with autism, the Disabled Artist Network will provide:
- peer-to-peer support, mentoring and advice through a group discussion forum
- bi-monthly meetings to discuss relevant topics and talks from invited representatives from relevant areas of the music sector
- signposting to commissioning and performance opportunities
- industry presentations from mainstream programmers
The Network is free and welcomes musicians and composers with all types of disabilities and at all stages of their development.
Join the Disabled Artist Network Facebook group and follow their Twitter feed or get in touch to find out more.
